I am an artist and art teacher from Firestone, Colorado who specializes in outdoor, landscape, wildlife art with a little bit of fantasy/concept art mixed in. My family and I live on the beautiful front range with a great view of the Rocky Mountains. As an art teacher, I spend the majority of the school year "being creative" with my students…yes... I basically get to make a mess for a living. Teaching is everything but boring and is such a rewarding adventure!
During the summers, we spend much of our vacation time in the mountains hiking, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. I'm what you might call a "mountain nerd." I've hiked/climbed many of the Colorado 14ers and 13ers and am always planning my next photography/backpacking/hiking/climbing/fishing adventure. Most of the information used to plan these activities comes from two extremely useful websites, 14ers.com and summitpost.org.

"We make in our measure and in our derivative mode, because we are made: and not only made, but made in the image and likeness of a Maker." - J.R.R. Tolkien
I believe that God is "The Great Artist," and any efforts that we make to create or copy His glory only pale in comparison to the beauty of His work. It is my goal to try to capture only a glimpse of His beautiful creation so that others will be able to share in the awe that He inspires. In my artworks, I write the Latin phrase "Soli Deo Gloria" (Glory to God Alone) under my signature as an attempt to honor Him. He is the one who designed us to be designers. Life really is all about Him.
